What Is It?

Hoops for the Dream is a campaign to change New England! How? By raising money to equip and furnish the new Next Level Church facility in the Seacoast of New Hampshire. How will this change New England? Because this building is not going to be about what NLC does on Sundays, it is going to be a hub for community outreach and life change. From this facility, the whole region will be changed as the building is used all week for the benefit of the people in our communities through our many community partnerships with organizations like Salvation Army, End 68 Hours of Hunger, House of Hope, and others. This facility will truly be unlike anything this region has ever seen before as it will feature state-of-the-art audio visual equipment, a cutting edge kids and classroom area that you won't believe until you see it, and so much more! You can see updates on the current construction (scheduled for completion April 2013) and details on the furnishings and equipment for the finished project at: www.nlc.tv/building-updates.

Hoops for the Dream itself is a 24 hour free throw shooting challenge, where Joshua Gagnon, Lead Pastor of Next Level Church, will shoot free throws for 24 hours straight, from April 12 6pm to April 13 at 6pm, with a goal of making 10,000 free throws. The event will be held at Noble High School in North Berwick, and we are asking people and organizations to pledge any amount (starting at just 1 cent) for every shot he makes in 24 hours! If he makes 10,000 shots, a pledge of 1 cent would result in a donation of $100 or a pledge of $1 would mean a donation of $10,000. Our goal is to raise $250,000, meaning we need pledges totaling $25 per shot made.

We believe that while unfortunately many people have had negative experiences with churches in the past, we also believe that many people recognize the incredible positive impact a life-giving, encouraging, loving church can have on a whole region. In just 5 years, Next Level Church has grown from 12 people in 1 town to 4 locations in 3 states with over 2,000 people calling NLC their church! We believe the church was sent for those who need help and encouragement in their brokenness, not just those who have life figured out, and by completing this building, we will be able to reach thousands more adults, families, and children who are in need and be a place of hope, love, and encouragement for them! Thanks for doing your part to make our community great!
